My greatest dream is to leave a legacy... Not a status... Not material wealth... But a revolution in the Philippine health care system... Empowered by nurses... And supported by other health professionals... For patient safety... For equality... Because Filipinos deserve to have a better health care system...

Ano bang depinisyon ng gobyerno naten sa highest possible quality of health care?
-Yun ba yung understaffing? Kaya pala kahit may sakit yung nurse eh kelangan pa rin pumasok. Kaya pala laganap ang nosocomial infections.
-Yun ba yung kulang kulang sa gamit, kaya yung tubong di naman para sa ilong nagiging pang ilong? Kung ikaw kaya gumamit nun, masikmura mo? Yung disposable dapat yung gloves pero ibababad mo lang sa chlorhexidine tapos pwde na RAW uli gamitin... Hanep db? Tapos magtataka pa sila kung laganap ang hepatitis, hiv, at iba pang blood-borne at contact infection? (Tpos yung mga nursing school pinagppractice yung mga estudyante sa mga ospital na balubaluktot ang practices? At sasabihin pagkatapos lang makapasa sa board exam na THE MOST COMPETITIVE NURSES na raw sila in the world?)
-Yun ba yung ang sweldo ng mga health professionals, at unang una na jan ang nurse, eh napakababa, mas mayaman pa siguro yung nagbebenta ng taho araw araw? Tapos kasalanan pa ng nurse kung tamarin sya pumasok, or pagiisipan pa sya ng masama pag lumabas ng bansa?
-Yun ba yung kakulangan sa pag-alaga sa psychiatric health ng bawat pasyente? Di ba lahat ng pasyente may anxiety? Di ba kasama sa psychiatric health yun? Pasyenteng may diagnosis lang ba na schitzophrenia or bipolar ang dapat pagtuonan ng psychiatric health services?
-Yun ba yung pag tumanda ka, yung pensyon mo kulang pa sa pambayad mo ng gamot? Yung sasabihin ng gobyerno mag halamang gamot ka na lang?
Marami pa akong napunang hindi tama sa sistema ng health care sa atin sa Pilipinas. Wala akong intensyong siraan ang anumang ospital o eskwelahan. Pero ang hindi ko maintindihan ay kung paano naachieve ng mga bansa sa Kanluran ang magkaroon ng napakagandang serbisyong pangkalusugan, samantalang sa Pilipinas ay panahon pa rin ng mga nursing theorists.
Si Dorothea Orem pumanaw na. Pero yung theory nya sa self care deficit, ewan ko lang kung nagagamit sa Pilipinas. Eh kulang yung staffing eh. Pano mo maaassist yung pasyente mong nangangailangan ng tulong?
Si Florence Nightingale strikto sa hygiene. Ewan ko bat di pa nya minumulto yung mga institusyon saten.
Di tayo dapat magbulag-bulagan. Di tayo dapat manahimik na lang. Dahil ang propesyong nars ay base sa mga ethical principles: beneficence, nonmaleficence, justice and respect.
